SEFTON PLAY COUNCIL

Supporting Play in Sefton

Mission Statement

The Sefton Play Council provides services and support for Play providers in order to raise the quality of play and child care in the Borough of Sefton.

A Brief History of Sefton Play Council

The Play Council was established in March, 1995 and has proved very successful in the years it has been in operation. In the first 3 years the Play Council was a Bootle Maritime City Challenge Project.

The project currently has member groups who represent a wide cross section of both the geographic and demographic representation of the Borough of Sefton, plus groups in Knowsley, Liverpool, The Wirral and West Lancs. There are close links with the Local Authority and in particular, Leisure Services, Education and Early Years.

The Play Council has established a reputation as a worthwhile, creditable Play Resource and Training Agency through co-operation and a commitment to provding quality services both to our members and partners and hopefully will continue to do so for many years to come.
