Sefton Play Council is a voluntary sector holistic play support organisation based in Sefton. We are a registered charity and have been in operation for 17 years. Our prime aim is to enhance the quality of children’s play experiences, which in turn will enhance the development, health and well being of children in Sefton and across Merseyside. We fully endorse and actively promote the concept that play is absolutely crucial to a child’s development, health and wellbeing as indicated by our strap-line ‘Play for Life’.
Our core services include play training from workshops up to nationally accredited playwork qualifications, play consultancy, facilitating play sessions and events for children and young people, delivering forest school sessions for children and young people aged 2-16 years. We also offer a play resource and arts and crafts shop selling low cost craft and play resources to support the facilitation of all play types, particularly creative play!
